What does working with you actually look like?

Every client journey is a little different, but here is what the process typically looks like from start to finish:

  1. We connect — a free 30-minute call to explore your situation, answer your questions, and make sure we’re a good fit.
  2. We make it official — once you decide to move forward, we sign a simple service agreement by email and confirm your booking with full payment by e-transfer.
  3. You share your story — you send me your current résumé (if you have one) and complete a career coaching questionnaire and résumé worksheet at your own pace.
  4. We dig in together — we meet for a 60–90 minute video session to explore your goals, uncover what’s been holding you back, and build a clear action plan.
  5. I get to work — I draft your résumé and cover letter, staying in touch throughout if I have questions.
  6. We refine together — a second 60–90 minute session to review, revise, and make sure everything feels authentically you.
  7. You receive your final documents — polished, targeted, and ready to go.
  8. LinkedIn, if included — I optimize every section of your profile and deliver it as a document with ready-to-use networking message scripts. You implement the changes yourself, or we can do it together. (For privacy reasons, I never access your account directly.)

How long does it take to receive my résumé?

Once we’ve completed your career discovery session and I have everything I need, your résumé will be ready within two weeks. If you’re working to a deadline, expedited turnaround may be available for an additional fee — just let me know upfront and we’ll figure something out.

Why does a résumé cost what it does?

This is a fair question and one I’m happy to answer openly.

What you’re paying for isn’t just a document — it’s the result of 15 to 25 hours of focused, expert work including research, strategy, writing, and revision. Every résumé I create is built entirely from scratch, tailored to your specific background, target roles, and the Canadian job market.

But beyond the document itself, clients consistently tell me what they value most is what happens alongside it — the clarity they gain about their own value, the confidence they rebuild, the ability to finally articulate what makes them stand out, and a job search strategy that actually makes sense for their situation.

How and when do I pay?

Full payment is required by e-transfer before we begin work together. Once your service agreement is signed and payment is received, we’re officially underway.

Do you work with clients outside Nova Scotia?

Yes — all sessions are held virtually via Zoom or Google Meet, so I work with clients across Canada regardless of where you’re located.

What if I only need one thing — like just a résumé or just coaching?
